He has been a special education teacher, a public school principal, a university professor in the field of special education, and an attorney promoting the advocacy of children with disabilities. His knowledge of the field of special education has been built on education, training, and 50 years of experience. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida, and his Master's and Doctoral degrees in Special Education from the University of Florida, Attorney Sears earned his law degree at the University of Alabama School of Law.
